Number 1: The other day Ben was creating some profiles
on-line for some announcements that he is offering private English classes. I
was sitting on the couch reading my book while he was doing this. I glanced
over to check his progress and I noticed under age he had put 25. I started
laughing and told him he wasn’t 25. He looked at me and told me that yes, he
is. I told him again that he is not 25. He shrugged his shoulders and said he
would be turning 25 this spring so
it didn’t really matter. Then I really started laughing and reminded him he is
only 23 and that he still has a bit to go before he turns 24 let alone 25!
(An agency in Madrid saw Ben’s post and he was offered a
job! He already has two English classes that he will be teaching!)
Number 2: Last night Ben threw one of our pillows into the bedroom.
Normally not a problem except that the window above our bed was wide open. I
wasn’t paying attention so I didn’t notice him throwing the pillow in. I did
see it time though to watch it fly out the window three stories down into
someone’s personal courtyard to which we have no access. It was late at night
so we didn’t feel comfortable going down and asking for it back. We couldn’t
stop laughing though! I was a little annoyed at first but it was kind of funny
too. When we got up the next morning we could still see the pillow on the
ground outside. When we got back from our day trip to Segovia there the pillow
was sitting on the railing waiting to be picked up. This isn’t the first thing
we have dropped something down there. We have both dropped some clothes pins
and some washcloths too and we always find them on the railing the next day.
Ben suggested we make the neighbors some cookies or something as a thank you
for giving our stuff back!
It is a little hard to see but the white square in the middle of the bottom part of the picture is our pillow.

Our neighbors kindly put the pillow on the railing for us.
Ok I cannot read these at work because I want to laugh so hard! Oh gosh I understand how nice it is to have comic relief while living in a foreign country (for me it was Capp lol) so Ben, keep up the funny stories, they will keep Kristin sane in the moments she may need it, I'm sure ;) I'm sure your neighbors just roll their eyes and chuckle ;) Ben, I will be sure to wish you a happy 26th birthday in March. Good luck with the English classes! Perhaps this opportunity will lead to modeling?
