Exploring Old Town Madrid

Thursday Ben and I explored Old Town Madrid. We found the oldest restaurant in the world, the oldest plaza in Madrid, Plaza de la Paja and an old aqueduct that was found when they were building the metro. They have it on display in one of the metro stations. We also found Chocolateria San Gines. It is open 24/7 and their specialty is a cup of chocolate with six churros. It has been around since 1894.

El Botin, the oldes restaurant.

  1. How long has that restaurant been around? Just curious. That's cool! Those churros look amazing, def a specialty of Spain.
Nice last pic! Ben should submit it for his Spanish modeling career. It would totally take off with that picture.
